Elizabeth Rosario chose to volunteer at a preschool in an impoverished neighborhood while completing her undergraduate studies at Hunter College in 2008. This challenging experience led her to seek a career in education. In the spring of 2012, she received a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College. She completed her student teaching at PS 183 working with both kindergarteners and second graders. It was a wonderful learning experience, with strong mentors to guide her that brought her to a love of teaching and to the decision that elementary school was her passion. After receiving her teacher certification, she began teaching preschool at the Gold Material Montessori School where she taught for a 18 months. She worked with children from all over the world, who were bilingual and trilingual. She is currently a kindergarten teacher at the Family Life Academy Charter School and looking forwarded to all the new experiences she will gain here.
