Paula Tucker began her career in Education in 2004, teaching life skills to students with disabilities for Southern Westchester BOCES, NY. Since then, Ms. Tucker has worked in Education as an ESL, and Special Education Teaching Assistant, a tutor for elementary school age children, and an infant teacher. Ms. Tucker has also acquired experience in educational research and has worked for EDC, an educational research company serving Head Start programs. She is currently assisting with data analysis and transcriptions in the Bilingual/Bicultural Program at Teachers College, Columbia University, where they are studying Digital Literacies and Code-switching. Ms. Tucker received a bachelor’s degree from Deusto University in Bilbao, Spain in Tourism and Hospitality Management. In New York, Ms. Tucker received a second Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from Mercy College.
In addition, Ms. Tucker is finishing her Master’s Degree in Bilingual/Bicultural Elementary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
