Family Life Academy Charter Schools (FLACS) received notification from the US Department of Education that we were awarded the 2017 Grant to Charter Management Organizations for the Replication and Expansion of High-Quality Charter Schools (CMO) in the amount of $900K.

The purpose of the grant is to replicate or expand high-quality charter schools with demonstrated records of success, including success in increasing student academic achievement. Grantees may use the Expansion of High Quality Charter Schools grant funds to expand the enrollment of one or more existing charter schools by substantially increasing the number of available seats per school or to open one or more new charter schools that are based on the charter school model for which the grantee has presented evidence of success.

This grant will support the network in the opening of the middle school campus, slated to open its doors for the 2018-2019 academic school year.
