The Randall's Island Waterfront Stewardship Program will be teaching FLACS III Second graders about wetland and waterfront ecology. They will experience nature through hands on learning. This is a great opportunity for our second graders who are currently working on a hands on unit in FOSS Science called Pebbles, Sand and Silt. This will extend their Science Unit outside the classroom.
The program will consist of its team coming to visit students to talk about the environment and the salt marshes found on Randall's Island; followed by a field trip to Randall's Island to explore.
